Texas Senate Bill 12 (SB12) is a new law that was passed by the Texas House & Senate and signed by Governor Abbott on June 18, 2023 to go into effect on September 1, 2023.

SB12 WAS PASSED TO DO JUST ONE THING, TO PREVENT CHILDREN FROM BEING EXPOSED TO ADULT PERFORMANCES (i.e., drag shows, strip clubs, sexually-explicit parades & cabarets) THAT ENCOURAGE AN EXCESSIVE INTEREST IN SEX.

This law is about Protecting, Defending, & Preserving the innocence of our children. SB12 does not restrict performers from performing for an audience exclusively of consenting adults.
