Why Does It Matter To You?

Abilene Pride Alliance, along with 4 other plaintiffs, have joined in a lawsuit where the ACLU is suing the City of Abilene, Taylor County, the Taylor County District Attorney, Jim Hicks, and the Texas Attorney General (along with 2 other cities & 3 counties in Texas) to block enforcement of this state law.

They are suing because they believe they have a constitutional right to perform these sexually-oriented shows in public without regard to whether viewers might be under the age of 18, and they believe that these shows are harmless to children. Make no mistake about it, at best anyone opposed to SB12 is not concerned with protecting kids, and at worst, displaying these shows to children is their intention.
